About Bailey Analytics
Bailey Analytics is a free, daily read on the U.S. and global economy. Eight dashboards—the U.S. economy, the consumer, banking system health, corporate and business health, markets and financial conditions, energy and commodities, housing, and the global economy—turn public data into plain English: every chart explains what it is and what it’s signaling right now, and every status badge is generated by a fixed, documented rule set applied to the latest numbers. Today’s Brief sits on top of all of it: one view of what changed since yesterday and which readings warrant attention. No paywall, no spin, no black box.
The data comes straight from primary public sources—the Federal Reserve (FRED), the FDIC’s quarterly bank Call Reports, the U.S. Energy Information Administration, the IMF, the New York Fed, policyuncertainty.com, and CoinGecko—and refreshes automatically every day. When a badge turns red, you can click through and see exactly which number tripped it. The site is built in the open — every pipeline, rule set, and prediction is public.
Where this is going
The site is deliberately growing. With broad coverage in place, the direction is synthesis: connecting the categories—how stress in one corner of the economy tends to spill into the next—and, further out, leading indicators that say something before it happens. That work has begun: the site now publishes its own next-print predictions for the numbers it tracks—each with a plain-English why—and grades every one in public on the Track Record page. If you check one page a day to stay oriented on the economy, this site intends to be that page.
Who’s behind it
Bailey Analytics is built by Michael Bailey, VP of Data Analytics at Citizens Bank. Over seven-plus years he has built data systems for financial services and healthcare organizations—automated reporting, cross-platform data integration, and analytics that support executive strategy—working in SQL, Python, Power BI, and API integrations. This site applies that same discipline in public: reliable pipelines, transparent logic, and numbers a decision-maker can act on.
Consulting
The same approach is available to clients. If your organization is sitting on data it can’t yet use—static reporting, sources that don’t talk to each other, decisions made on instinct that should be made on evidence—get in touch.
